We have an answerphone facility and in the event that we are out of the office we aim to respond to your call/email within 24 hours.
Making A Purchase (wedding stationery, favours and gifts) :
There is no minimum order for The Card and Favour Company.co.uk Limited hand crafted wedding stationery and matching favours. However, a minimum order applies for products in our "favour and gifts"section, personalised printed ribbon, and some DIY items. When a minimum order applies this is clearly stated in the product description.
We reserve the right to decide when a contract with a customer is formed. We are not bound to supply the goods ordered until the order is accepted by us. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Samples
By receiving any sample(s) or sample pack of our hand crafted stationery/favours you are agreeing that the sample is for personal use only and will not be replicated by yourself or any third party.
Due to the extremely high demand for samples, they are limited to 3 which can be a combination of card and/or wedding favour designs per customer or one sample pack per customer.
Payment Terms
We accept most major credit/debit card payments online or by phone, personal cheque or postal orders by post or cash in person.
All online orders must be paid for in full at the time of ordering however because of the way the shopping basket works.
However if you are ordering wedding stationery or chair covers and the total amount is over £500.00 you can choose to pay a 50% non refundable deposit by credit/debit card by phone with the balance being due 14 days before your order is due to be despatched. Please telephone us to arrange this.
Orders placed by post or by appointment are required to pay a 50% non refundable deposit with the balance being due 14 days before your order is due to be despatched/collected. However, if you require your order to be completed within 4 weeks or the total order value is £100.00 or less full payment is required when placing your order.
Prices are effective from 31st December 2008. Prices may be subject to change without prior notice. Your deposit/payment secures the price of the items ordered at the time of ordering.
Quotations provided by post, email or telephone are valid for 30 days.
Proofs
On receipt of your online order & deposit/full payment, wording proofs will be prepared and sent to you for approval. Please ensure that you check all spellings, layout and details. Proof reading is the responsibility of the client and you will need to check, sign, and date the proofs and return to us as confirmation that you are happy with all aspects of the proofs. On receipt of the signed proofs work will commence on your order. If there are any amendments to the proof at this stage then you should inform us as soon as possible so that a new proof can be prepared for you. Any amendments after the final proofs have been agreed may incur extra charges especially if work had already commenced on your order. In some instances your wording proof will be provided in pdf format and an email confirmation of proof approval is sufficient. The card and favour company.co.uk Limited cannot be held responsible for any errors on your proof after the proofs have been approved by you.
Materials
Whilst every effort is made to fulfill your order, should circumstances beyond our control and a supplier discontinues items needed to fulfill your order the card and favour company.co.uk Limited will inform you of any problem and a suitable alternative will be offered to you.
Due to the nature of some of the components used in the designs we do not accept responsibilty for slight colour variation which may occur between each iterm and any samples previously supplied. Whilst every effort is made to ensure design continuity, as all items are handcrafted, slight variation may occur. The card and favour company.co.uk Limited cannot be held responsible for any aging process of the product which may occur over time.
Health & Safety
Clients should be aware that some of our products and packaging are not suitable for small children and babies.
All confectionery is stored at cool temperature and only handled using food safe gloves.
All confectionery favours (where possible) carry a discrete nut or nut traces label.
For health and satety reasons we are unable to accept confectionery returns
Cancellation
As orders are hand made and personalised to your requirements should you cancel your order prior to proofs being approved we will retain the 50% deposit to cover time and materials already incurred. If you cancel your order after you have signed the proofs and work has already commenced on your order then we may need to collect a further proportional payment to cover the cost of further time and materials already incurred.
Copyright
All text, artwork, logo and designs are copyright of the card and favour company .co.uk Limited. To copy in full or part any of our designs shown on our website, lilterature or supplied as samples is an infringement on our copyright. Any breach of our copyright will be vigorously defended.
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that any material such as hymns, poems or readings that you ask us to include in your order of service/day does not breach any third party copyright and you indemnify us against any action brought against it in the event of any such breach.
Postage & Packing :
All orders under £30 will be sent by 1st Class Recorded Delivery. Orders over £30 will be sent by Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery or Courier. Please remember when stating your delivery address a signature will be required to accept the goods.
NB!! Next Day Special Delivery means next day after despatch and not next day after order is taken.
Postage Charges for the UK
Value up to
Every care is taken to ensure that your order is securely packaged for transit and therefore we cannot accept responsibility for any consequential loss or damage which occurs during transit via any delivery service nor can we be held responsible for any loss incurred due to late delivery for reasons beyond our control (ie: postal strike, floods, illness).
We are pleased to supply orders outside the UK but please contact us before placing your order for a quotation of postal costs.
You are welcome to collect your order from our design studio by prior arrangement. Please call us to arrange this.
Delivery Schedule
All of our products have a delivery timescale as described below. Every effort is made to adhere to this timescale but should there be any unexpected delays we will keep you advised.
Sample(s) or Sample Pack
Please allow at least 14 days especially during busy periods.
Pre Wedding Day Stationery (Save the Date, Invitations & Reply Card) usually 4 - 6 weeks from receiving signed proofs to completion.
On the Day Wedding Stationery (Order of Service, Menus, Favours, Place Cards, Table Plan, Table Numbers/Names, Thank You Cards, Guest Book & Keepsake Box) - will be dispatched together in a second consignment closer to your wedding. Once you have placed your order we will discuss a date that you wish to receive the "on the day wedding stationery items by" but delivery is usually 7-10 days before the wedding.
Favours/Table Gifts
Orders usually take 4 - 6 weeks from receipt of payment. However, it is adviseable to book your order well in advance of your event to avoid disappointment.
Personalised Ribbon
Please allow 7 - 14 days from receipt of payment.
DIY Orders
We will normally send your order to you in 7-21 days, often sooner. If your order is not in stock we will contact you and give you an estimated date of delivery.
Please note if you are ordering confectionery please state the date of the event to ensure that the expiry date well exceeds the usage date.

Terms and conditions of hired goods (chair covers, sashes, centrepiece) :
The owners of the hired goods are Sandy Burbidge & Debbie Burbidge trading as the card and favour company.co.uk Ltd.
The hirer is the lead name on the booking form.
At all times the hired goods remains the property of the owner.
Hired items shall be all items listed on the final invoice.
The hirer shall be solely responsible for the hired items from the card and favour company.co.uk Ltd during the hire period.
The owner shall not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property during the hire period.
Payment of your deposit and signature on your booking form is understood as acceptance of our terms and conditions.
To secure your order and date we require a £100.00 non refundable deposit with approximate guest numbers. The remaining balance is due in full 4 weeks prior to the event date. A security deposit may be required dependant on order.
Cancellation -In the event of a cancelled booking up to 3 months prior to the booked event the £100.00 deposit is unfortunately non refundable. In the event of cancellation by the hirer with less than 3 months before the booked date will require full payment.
If the final balance has been paid and a cancelled booking is made then the final balance remains the property of the card and favour company.co.uk Ltd.
Final numbers –We will allow for slight adjustment to your original guest number estimate as we understand it is difficult to predict exact numbers but please let us know if your numbers are likely to increase as soon as possible. We will contact you 4 weeks before the event to confirm final numbers and raise your final invoice due for payment no later then 2 weeks before the wedding date.
Missing or damaged items ~ On collection if any of the hired goods are missing or damaged beyond repair then the owner will send a replacement invoice to the hirer. Standard laundering and cleaning of the hired items, is included in the price. The owner will not invoice additional charges to the hirer for stains from food and drinks and light scuffs from footwear as these stains are considered as part of the event. However, if the owners finds the damage beyond repair through mistreat ie rips, cigarette burns, excessive food and drink stains etc then the owners will issue the hirer with a replacement invoice for this damage. Replacement invoice for missing or damaged items must be paid for in full at the cost of £10.00 per chair cover, £3.00 per sash, £4.50 per hood, £7.00 per flower corsage, £5.00 per table runner and £150.00 per candelabra. Missing everlasting candles £10.00 each.
The owners reserve the right to use any photography taken during the hire period unless otherwise advised by the hirer.
Credit Card Security
Online payments are made via a secure online server.
Privacy Policy
The Card and Favour Company.Co.Uk Ltd are commited to protecting our customers privacy and therefore will not disclose personal information to third parties.
Complaints
We pride ourselves in our customer care and we hope that you will be delighted by our products and services. However, in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your order or the products received from the card and favour company.co.uk Limited then please contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order and we will do our best to rectify the situation.
Returns Policy
All stationery and favours/table gifts are personalised and handmade to order therefore, refunds or replacements, can only be considered if the stationery/favours are faulty or do not meet the specifications of your order from your signed proofs. In the unlikely event of a fault customers must notify us immediately on receipt of the order and return the items to us in the original packaging before any work will commence on replacement items. Postage is not refundable. This does not affect your statuary rights.
For health and safety reasons we are unable to accept confectionery returns.
